• Comfortable T-Shirt or nightie for labour

• Pair of slippers, jandals, sandals which we encourage you to wear

• Personal toilet articles

• Nursing bras and breast pads

• 3 Packets of maternity pads

• Extra underwear

• Comfortable day clothes

• Watch or small clock

• 1 ballpoint pen

• Money for coin phone, nipple cream or gifts you may wish to purchase.

Baby

While your baby is in Rangiora Hospital, you may choose to dress your baby in the hospital clothes or your own.  We supply disposable napkins or cloth napkins for you to use during your stay.

• Please bring 2 snaplock pins if using cloth napkins

• 1 singlet

• 1 woollen singlet (winter)

• 1 gown

• 1 jacket

• 1 shawl

• 1 pair booties

• 1 hat

We recommend the use of woollen clothing, not acrylic.  One car seat - arrange this with Plunket or another provider prior to birth.  It is a good idea to book this about half way through your pregnancy, so you get the model you prefer.  Pick up one week before birth.
