The 2006 Gathering includes a range of pre-conference workshops to maximize
the training opportunities for participants travelling to Christchurch. Please

Workshop 1 is highly recommended for participants who are new to work in this field. The general framework it describes is consistent with the national clinical pathway recommended by the National Personality Disorders Advisory Group, and as outlined by the Ministry of Health Guidelines.
Workshops 2, 3, 4 & 5 are for experienced case-workers and therapists looking for new perspectives to add to their clinical repertoire.
Workshop 6 is a training workshop in Mentalisation Based Treatment – the treatment approach developed by two of the keynote speakers. This workshop is aimed at therapists and treating clinicians.
